§ Mr. David Youngasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what instructions are given to immigration officers to allow a sponsor or relation of a visitor to the United Kingdom held for deportation to contact his or her Member of Parliament.
§ Mr. RaisonNone, because sponsors and relations of persons refused leave to enter do not need the permission of the immigration officer to contact their Member of Parliament. If asked, the immigration officer would inform them that they are free to do so.
