§ Mr. Brightasked the Secretary of State for Trade whether he has received representations from car manufacturers on the imposition of import controls; if so, front which companies; and whether each company supported or opposed such controls.
§ Mr. ParkinsonI have received representations from a variety of sources requesting import controls on motor cars. I have also received one representation opposing such controls. For reasons of commercial confidentiality I cannot give the names of the various companies concerned.
