§ Mr. Alfred Morrisasked the Secretary of State for Industry why he will not publish the text of the reply by the Minister of State on 30 June to the president of the Manchester chamber of commerce and industry concerning the effect on manufacturing industry of the high interest rate, the high value of the £ sterling and high inflation rate.
§ Mr. David Mitchell[pursuant to his reply, 14 July 1980, c. 408]: I shall send the right hon. Member a copy of my noble Friend's reply to the president of the Manchester chamber of commerce and industry. Provided the president has no objection, I shall also arrange that a copy of the reply should be placed in the Library of the House.
