§ Mr. RaisonApplications for registration as a citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies are of various types, some requiring more inquiries than others. The estimated average cost to the public of processing a successful application in the year 1979–80 was about £60 for the simpler type of registration and about £180 for the type requiring detailed inquiries. The current fees payable by a 491W Successful adult applicant are £50 and £150 respectively.
