§ Mr. FoxThe rate of pay of home helps is the responsibility of local authorities and is negotiated in the National Joint Council for Local Authority Services (Manual Workers) in which the Government play no part. But I understand that currently an hourly rate of 154.13p applies with certain supplements according to working conditions.
