§ Mr. Rookerasked the Minister of Transport if he will list the firms which have been awarded the contracts for bearing repairs on the elevated sections of the M5 motorway at Oldbury and the M6 motorway at Witton; and if the contracts allow for the work to be subcontracted.
§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeI shall write to the hon. Member giving the names of the successful tenderers as soon as the contracts have been awarded. Work may be subcontracted subject to the approval of the engineer, who in these cases is the West Midlands county surveyor.
