§ Mr. Colin Shepherdasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if, in his negotiations in the Council of Transport Ministers of the European Economic Community, he will ensure that, in the event that agreement is reached on the date for reversion to Greenwich mean time, the duration of British summer time will be at least the same as that for 1979.
§ Mr. RaisonWe have already made clear to our partners in the European Community that we do not feel able at present to agree to any earlier finishing date for summer time than the date currently provided for by the Summer Time Act 1972—that is, the fourth weekend in October.
