§ Sir Keith JosephRegional aids, including regional development grants at the top rate of 22 per cent. in special development areas such as Shotton, are being focused on the hardest hit areas. The Government do not intend to increase 19W the level of these aids for particular categories of assisted area. The prospects of the assisted areas depend, above all, on their vitality, the effective enterprise of those who live or open up businesses there and the degree of co-operation between managers and work forces.
