§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department why a man with a bigamous wife was allowed to bring her and her children, his legal wife and their children to settle in Great Britain, details concerning which have been sent to him by the hon. Member for Newham, North-West.
§ Mr. RaisonThe man is registered as a citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies and his legal wife and their children were entitled to join him. Prior to their arrival in this country, he contracted a marriage with a woman who had entered the United Kingdom as a visitor, and it appears that that marriage has now been pronounced null and void.
