§ 15. Mr. Molyneauxasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will seek to amend the European Assembly Elections Act 1978 so as to provide for election by the same method throughout the United Kingdom.

§ 19. Mr. Langasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will seek to amend the European Assembly Elections Act 1978, in order to ensure the avoidance of undue delay in implementing the recommendations of the Boundaries Commission in respect of boundaries for constituencies of the United Kingdom Parliament.
§ Mr. BrittanWe are considering whether to do so. Such an amendment would be consistent with the Government's view that the present serious disparities in the electorates of parliamentary constituencies should be corrected as soon as possible.
