§ Mr. Cartwrightasked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many psycho-surgical operations were performed in the United Kingdom during each of the most recent five years for which figures are available; and how many of these were performed at the Brook General Hospital, Woolwich.

The number of psycho-surgical operations performed in England and Wales in 1979 was 70, 66 of these being in England and four in Wales.
