§ The Prime MinisterThe Government are deeply concerned about the problem of child abuse. Action to prevent and deal with it must essentially be a matter for local authorities and other agencies but we508W are planning to issue guidance to supplement that which has been given from time to time in the past. We are also making grants to voluntary organisations working in this field.
