Mr. Harold Walker

asked the Secretary of State for Trade when it is intended that section 79 of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 shall be made effective by the introduction of regulations.

Mr. Eyre

[pursuant to his reply, 28 January 1980, c. 529]: It is for the Health and Safety Commission to make such proposals as it considers appropriate for the making of regulations under section 79. I understand that the Commission still has this matter under consideration and I await its advice.
