§ Dr. VaughanThe allocation of resources to health regions for the current financial year was made before this Government took office. As my right hon. Friend made clear in the debate on the report on the Royal Commission on 23 January, we shall continue in 1980–81 the redistribution of resources in favour of the relatively under-provided regions, as defined by the resource allocation working party, and the North-Western region is likely to receive an increase in revenue allocations proportionately twice as large as that of the best provided region.—[Vol. 977, c. 460–61.]
