§ Mr. John Morrisasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what plans he has made for assistance to the Afan borough council and the surrounding areas for assistance by way of special rate support grant or a comparable measure in the event of a reduction in the rateable value of British Steel Corporation property in the Afan borough.
§ Mr. KingWhile there are no specific proposals in connection with Afan borough council, the principle raised by the hon. Member is being discussed by my hon. Friend the Under-Secretary of State with representatives of another local authority who are faced with a similar problem. We shall consider the position in the light of that discussion.
