asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list the membership of the Stevens committee on planning control over mineral working.

The members of the committee on planning control over mineral working were:

Sir Roger Stevens, G.C.M.G., formerly British Ambassador to Sweden and Iran.

Professor M. G. Fleming, B.Sc., Ph.D., C.Eng., F.I.M.M., Professor of Mineral Technology, Imperial College, University of London.

Mr. T. J. Nardecchia, Chartered Surveyor.

Mr. J. C. Taylor, Barrister-at-Law.
