§ Mr. StanleyApproximately 250 local authorities responded to the consultaion papers on tenants' rights including the right to buy. The estimated financial effects of the Bill provisions on local authorities are shown in paragraph 24 of the financial memorandum to the Bill. The costs to individual local authorities will vary according to size and present management practice.
