§ Mr. Meacherasked the Secretary of State for Trade what have been the levels of direct and overseas investments, respectively, for each year since 1945; what percentage these represent, respectively, of domestic manufacturing investment and of gross national product for each of these years; and if he will publish comparable figures for the United States of America, France, Germany, Italy, Benelux, Japan and Sweden.
