§ Mr. Morganasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will seek to increase, as a matter of urgency, the amount payable by way of death grant to a realistic figure which takes account both of the fall in the value of money since the grant's inception and of the substantial increase in funeral charges, occasioned in part by the incidence of value added tax.
