HC Deb 17 January 1980 vol 976 c857W
Mr. Faulds

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will consult with the Historic Houses Association, the Standing Commission on Museums and Galleries and the Church Commissioners as to the effect of value added tax in preserving United Kingdom cultural and historic heritage before he introduces his Budget.

Mr. Peter Rees

I am already aware of the views held by those concerned with our cultural and historic heritage about the effect of value added tax but I should, of course, consider carefully any further representations on this matter.
