§ Mr. Richard Shepherdasked the Secretary of State for Trade if he will make a statement on the arrangements which he is making for the financing of British-Soviet trade after the credit arranged by the previous Government has been exhausted; and if the policy of Her Majesty's Government has been reviewed in the light of the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan.
§ Mr. ParkinsonNo decision has yet been taken about the arrangements for official support for British Soviet trade after the Anglo-Soviet credit agreement expires. This is one of the subjects that are being discussed with our Allies in the light of events in Afghanistan, in order to arrive at a common position.
