§ Mr. HurdMy right hon. Friend the Prime Minister sent a message to President Brezhnev on 29 December, deploring the Soviet intervention in Afghanistan. President Brezhnev's reply was delivered on 3 January. I made a statement to the House about Afghanistan on 14 January.
