HL Deb 15 January 1980 vol 404 c98WA
Lord KILMANY

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they are aware that the number of crows is increasing throughout the countryside, and whether, in view of the harm crows do to crops and to the eggs and young birds of desirable species, the Government have any plans to keep the crow population within reasonable bounds.

Earl FERRERS

The most recent survey data available have revealed an increase in crow populations but I am advised that these changes are within the limits normally experienced in wildlife populations. Control of bird pests is the responsibility of occupiers concerned.
