HC Deb 14 January 1980 vol 976 c610W
Mr. Park

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what is the current weight of unclassified waste paper from Government Departments sold for recycling; and what is the financial outturn compared with 1976–77.

Mr. Channon

I have been asked to reply.

Some 12,500 tonnes are expected to be collected and sold in 1979–80. The financial outturn is likely to be in the region of £234,000 in respect of 1979–80 compared with £146,500 for about 11,250 tonnes in 1976–77.
