HC Deb 14 January 1980 vol 976 c633W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Prime Minister if, in any future cases where former public officials confess to traitorous actions and are exempted from prosecution, she will ensure that they forgo their non-contributory pensions.

The Prime Minister

The law provides for public service pension benefits to be withheld for treasonable activities or serious offences under the Official Secrets Acts, but only after a conviction in the courts.
