§ Mr. Kaufmanasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will publish the membership and cost of the 12-member supply council that he has set up up in connection with purchases of equipment, and so on by hospitals.
§ Dr. VaughanI am not yet in a position to publish the membership of the supply council. The council's costs will be borne by health authorities, which it will need to consult about its programme of activities and the consequential cost to the authorities. I cannot be precise about these costs but I expect them to be extremely modest in relation to the total expenditure on supplies.
