HC Deb 25 February 1980 vol 979 cc403-4W

The Attorney-General

On 10 January this year.

46. Mr. Soley

asked the Attorney-General if he will introduce a training programme for judges on the effectiveness of different sentences of the courts.

The Attorney-General

Consideration is already being given to widening the scope of the present arrangements, particularly for newly-appointed judges.
