§ Mr. WigginIt is estimated that some 3,000 scientific and technical staff of the agricultural research service are engaged in agricultural research and development in England and Wales. Additionally, about 4,000 scientific and technical staff of my Department's agricultural development and advisory service are engaged on such research and development, but only as part of their duties. I regret that data is not available concerning employment elsewhere.
