§ Mr. Kilfedderasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland whether he will carry out a survey of the opportunities for part-time employment and for work sharing in the manufacturing and service industries.
§ Mr. RossiI have no plans to conduct such a survey at present. I am anxious not to add unnecessarily to the form-filling burden on employers at a time when the Government are trying to minimise their intervention in industry.
There is a clear trend for increasing opportunities for part-time employment particularly in the service sector, and this is expected to continue.
