§ 31. Mr. Norman Atkinsonasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what is the average rent charged by the London borough of Haringey for a two-bedroom council tenant; and what is his estimate of the amount which these rents will be affected during the next 12 months as a result of action by Her Majesty's Government.
§ Mr. StanleyI understand that the average rent for a two-bedroom dwelling in Haringey is some £6.85 per week. My right hon. Friend has issued rent increase guidelines which average at £1.80 per week for 1980–81. Actual rent increases in Haringey are for the borough to decide.
