§ Sir George YoungI assume that the hon. Member's reference to compensation is in fact to payments under the Vaccine Damage Payments Act 1979, which in all cases are of the amount of £10,000. Awards in such cases are made on grounds of severe disability due to vaccination whether the damage is to the central nervous system or otherwise.
