Tax Thresholds

Mr. Ralph Howell

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what increases, and what percentage increases in tax allowances would be necessary in 1980–81 in order to ensure that tax thresholds, expressed as percentages of average male manual earnings, do not fall lower than in 1979–80.
