Mr. Hooley

asked the Secretary of State for Industry (1) what action has been taken by the Government to publicise the importance of the resources of the oceans, other than gas and oil; and what further action is envisaged;

(2) whether any future legislation in the United Kingdom on deep seabed mining will include any reciprocity arrangement with the United States of America arising from legislation in that country.
