§ Mr. Ernie Rossasked the Secretary of State for Scotland, in view of the Government's cutbacks in public expenditure on education in Scotland, if he will seek to amend section 1 of the Education (Scotland) Act 1962 so that the duty of an education authority to secure adequate and efficient provision of school education is defined in more precise terms.
