§ 15. Mr. Flanneryasked the Secretary of State for Defence how many of the European total of cruise and Pershing 2 missiles are to be placed in (a) the United Kingdom, (b) West Germany, (c) France, (d) Holland, (e) Belgium, (f) Italy and (g) Luxembourg.
§ Mr. Pym160 United States ground-launched cruise missiles will be based in the United Kingdom, 96 in the Federal Republic of Germany, 112 in Italy and 48 in Belgium; in the latter case subject to confirmation in May. The Netherlands Government, whilst supporting the modernisation programme, will take a decision on the deployment of the missiles in their country by the end of 1981. All the 108 Pershing 2 missiles will be based in West Germany. None of the new systems are to be based in France or Luxembourg.
