§ Mr. Neil MartenThe figure of £140,000 in the Supplementary Estimates HC 199 of 1978–79 (Class II, Vote 7 Appendix 2) was based on information available when the Estimates were prepared. Actual expenditure at £171,606 was greater than forecast but was within the ceiling of £180,000 agreed by the previous Administration, and did not cause excess expenditure under the subhead as a whole.
