§ Mr. LawsonOn 31 January 1980 the staff of the Central Office of the Registry of Friendly Societies and of the Office of the Industrial Assurance Commissioner—for staff purposes these two offices are combined—totalled 116. Six of this number have professional qualifications: three are barristers, one is a solicitor and two are accountants. Twenty-two of the staff are engaged full-time on building society matters.
On 31 December 1976 the total number of staff was 118, of whom seven had professional qualifications: three barristers, two solicitors and two accountants. At that date 17 of the staff were engaged full-time on building society matters.
