HC Deb 05 February 1980 vol 978 c174W
Mr. Best

asked the Secretary of State for Industry whether any Government aid is planned for Sealink; and whether he has discussed with Sealink proposals for raising further capital, including the sale of shares to the general public.

Mr. Fowler

I have been asked to reply.

No Government aid is planned for Sealink (UK) Limited. As I have said, I am interested in the possibility of involving private capital in the British Railways Board's subsidiaries, including Sealink, and I shall make a statement in due course.
