HC Deb 05 February 1980 vol 978 cc119-20W
Mr. Skeet

asked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster if he will take steps to provide, without charge, a copy of the Law, Privileges, Proceedings and Usage of Parliament ("Erskine May") to any hon. Member who applies for one.

Mr. St. John-Stevas

No. I do not consider that the expense involved could be justified. I understand that seven copies of Erskine May are currently available for Members in the Library. No doubt the number of copies available there could be slightly increased if there was evidence that seven were insufficient to meet the demands of Members.
