asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will consider a new form of tax concession for individuals and firms designed to encourage them to give funds to charitable organisations, particularly those engaged in national youth activities.

The question of possible extension of tax reliefs for donations to charitable organisations is at present under consideration in connection with the recommendations of the Goodman committee on charity law and voluntary organisations.
