HC Deb 05 February 1980 vol 978 cc193-4W
Mr. Dobson

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what refurbishing works are being carried out on the Department of Health and Social Services headquarters at Alexander Fleming House; what will be the cost of these works; and what will happen to those sections of the Department of Health and Social Security presently occupying the parts to be refurbished during the refurbishment period.

Mr. Geoffrey Finsberg

The former restaurant and conference rooms in Blocks C and D are currently being converted into office accommodation. The latest estimate, including furniture, is £257,000. Any staff affected by future refurbishment works will be rehoused temporarily in existing DHSS buildings.
