§ Mr. Kilroy-Silkasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department why a known psychopath was allocated a cell in Wormwood Scrubs with a young prisoner whom he subsequently killed.
§ Mr. WhitelawThe decision that these two young prisoners should share a cell was taken in the light of what was then known about their previous history, including medical and personal facts. The circumstances of this case, and what was said at the trial, are now being urgently considered to see what lessons can be drawn. I very much regret the young man's tragic death.
