§ Mr. ParkinsonA considerable number of EEC directives, some concerned with consumer protection, are designed to eliminate artificial barriers to trade within the Community. The agreement on technical barriers to trade negotiated in the recent multilateral trade negotiations should also make a contribution in this field.
