In the year up to June 1978 there were 419.4 million days of certified incapacity for work for the United Kingdom as a whole—this is the latest information available.
I understand that the estimated number of working days lost in industrial disputes in the United Kingdom in 1979 was 29.1 million. This figure is provisional and subject to revision later this year.
