§ 31. Mr. Steenasked the Secretary of State for Trade what assessment he has made of the extra employment opportunities which result from the operation of Liverpool airport.
§ Mr. TebbitI understand that about 660 people are employed at Liverpool airport, of whom 159 are direct employees of the airport authority. Employment is expected to increase in the coming year but I have made no assessment of other jobs which might now or in the future result from operation of the airport.
