outcome of the discussions under the general agreement on tariffs and trade between the European Commission and the United States of America regarding dual pricing of energy feedstocks; and what proposals he expects the European Commission to put forward to the Council of Ministers on 4 and 5 February.

These discussions are still in progress. Since, however, they have not yet led to any agreed solution to the problem of imports of United States synthetic textile products, the EEC Commission has undertaken to put forward proposals for action to the Council of Ministers on 5 February. I am not able to anticipate the nature of these proposals.
