HC Deb 04 February 1980 vol 978 cc56-7W
Mr. Deakins

asked the Secretary of State for Trade what has been the percentage change in the balance of trade for each of the main standard international trade classification divisions for the latest period of 12 months as compared with the previous period.

Mr. Parkinson

The information for those divisions where exports or imports in 1979 exceeded £500 million is as follows:

Mr. Parkinson

I am sorry if my answer of20 December 1979—[Vol. 960, c. 3331—to my hon. Friend was not clear. The loan to which he has drawn my attention was agreed in 1964 and increased in 1965. When the loan was approved it was specifically provided on a non-concessionary rate of interest. This was then 6 per cent. It was for this reason not included in my answer. My right hon. Friend the Lord Privy Seal is today providing further information about the loan in reply to another question from my hon. Friend.
