asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what proposals he has to issue guidelines to doctors and clinics on abortions and family planning for children under 16 years; if he will publish these in the Official Report; and if he will make a statement.

As my hon. Friend said in his replies to the hon. Member on 6 December 1979 and 14 January 1980, we hope to complete shortly our review of the 1974 guidance issued to health authorities on the provision of contraceptive advice and treatment to young people under 16; I shall then make an announcement.—[Vol. 975, c.312; Vol. 976, c. 655.]
