§ Mr. Beithasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether he has approved instruments of government for any schools in the area of Sandwell education authority which allow as many as six governors to be replaced at any time before the expiry of their term of office.
§ Dr. BoysonThe instruments of government of county schools, which are made by individual local education authorities, are not subject to the approval of my right hon. and learned Friend. Articles of government for county secondary schools are subject to approval by my right hon. and learned Friend, but these do not deal with the composition of school governing bodies.
