The Lord ChancellorIn consultation with my noble friend the Lord President of the Council, I have commissioned a management review of my department. The review will study the effectiveness of my department's organisation and the management of its resources. It will not be concerned with jurisdictional matters or re-examine Government policies. It will be directed by a steering committee of my senior officials with the Civil Service Department and the Treasury, chaired by my Permanent Secretary, and assisted by a small management review team drawn from my department and the Civil Service Department. I expect the review to be completed in six months
